It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of Professor Manninger Jenö of Hungary. Professor Jenö was made a Pioneer of Hand Surgery in 1992. We recognise his contribution to the world of hand surgery and express our condolences to his family.

Two IFSSH Educational Bursaries were granted to Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg. The successful applicants, Drs George Omondi Afulo and Philemon Owino Oduor from Kenya, have completed their Fellowship programmes and provided the following reports.
